Directions: The complex is located 1 mile north of Newport (next to the movie theatre). Highway 101 north, right on 60th Street.
Agate Heights is a 44-unit complex, located in a wooded area approximately 1 mile north of Newport (next to the movie theatre). The Housing Authority acquired this development in 2007 and substantially rehabbed all the units in 2008. HALC currently owns and manages this complex which consists of one, two and three bedroom units and is located near Agate Beach in Newport. Two units at the complex have been adapted with disability features.
Eligibility
You must be income eligible to be qualified to live at Agate Heights Apts.

Rental Process
This property receives rental subsidies from USDA Rural Development and income eligible households pay 30% of their income for rent.
Applications are kept on file in date and time order that they are received. You will be placed on a waiting list and notified when a unit becomes available. It is important that you keep the Housing Authority updated with your correct mailing address during your waiting time since you will only be notified by mail when assistance is available.
